When "Get a Real Job" Is Killing Your Dreams

Ever had someone tell you your passion isn't a "real job"? Izzy knows that feeling all too well:

"When she hears writing, she just, I think she think like back in 1940 when people was writing news articles and stuff for 25 cents a hour... I'm like, go get twist. I done had some slow months, but I didn't have some money. I was big months. I was big bank."

The Courage to Say "I'm Over This"

Sometimes success starts with recognizing when you need a change. For Izzy, that moment came in high school:

"I remember saying, looking at the party and we was leaving. I said, I'm over this. And it was like, over what? Said, I'm over being here. Like I'm ready to go. I'm tired of this."

That decision to leave St. Louis for Houston transformed his life and career.

Stop Trying to Please Everyone

One of the biggest wealth blockers in our community? Trying to take care of everyone else before yourself:

"How can you pull forward my cup that's half empty? How can you pull forward an empty cup? Like so if you give it to everybody else but you, you never take care of you."

There Are No Overnight Successes

If you're frustrated with your progress, remember this truth bomb from Izzy:

"It takes 10 years to become an overnight success. And I'm on year seven."

Your "Hobby" Could Be Your Career

"People are literally paid to give commentary on reality tv, on YouTube. They will watch every reality show and give their commentary and they get M UK a month. Come on people. You can do whatever you want to do."
