Personal: VACAY MODE (Finally)

It’s VACAY TIME.

We hit the road this Thursday for Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. But first, a stop in Denver to kick it with our best friends and their girls — the kind of people who feel more like chosen family.

Then it’s 7 full days in Virgin, Utah, surrounded by red rocks and silence — no cleats, no fields, no team emails. Just us.

It honestly feels like we haven’t had a true vacation in years that wasn’t wrapped around a soccer tournament schedule. I love the grind, but sometimes you need a break that doesn’t come with post-game snacks.

Don't worry — the newsletter’s still coming next week. Just expect more nature and kid pics than market charts.

Current Events: That “Big Beautiful Bill” Is Full of Big, Ugly Problems

Let’s break this mess down real quick.

Congress just pushed through a bill that’s being sold to the public like it's Christmas in July. But if you actually read it (or listen to anyone not running for reelection), you’ll see what’s really going on:

  • It’s bloated with corporate tax perks.

  • There’s vague language designed to confuse the average voter.

  • The "protections" for working people are either temporary or tied to metrics that don’t serve actual humans.

  • And somehow, it still adds long-term cost while claiming to reduce the deficit.

What they’re calling a “reform” is more like a performance. And while they argue about the shape of the table, families are still scraping to pay rent.

If you want the full breakdown with receipts, I dropped it all on this week’s podcast — watch or listen below.

Invest in What?

This new section exists because you deserve more than headlines and TikTok “hot picks.”

Each week (or whenever something good comes up), I’ll break down:

  • An alternative investment you might not know about

  • A type of asset the mainstream won’t touch

  • Or a financial game being played behind the scenes

Coming soon: a deep dive on income-generating land investments and why you never hear about them unless you’re already wealthy.

Soul-Check In: The People vs The Profits

In my career, I’ve noticed there are two types of people:

  1. People who care about money

  2. People who care about people

We live in a time where it feels like the country — and a whole lot of its citizens — have chosen the first.

It shows up in how we vote.
It shows up in how we spend.
It shows up in how we treat each other.

If you’re one of the people chasing dollars and ignoring your impact — listen closely:

It’s not too late to change. But you’re getting close to FAFO territory.

And if you’re one of the ones holding onto your humanity, even when it’s hard?

Hold tighter.
We’ll prevail.
Because the future isn’t built by the loudest — it’s built by the ones who still care.

Final Word

This week, I’m unplugging from the system and plugging into my family.
Because joy is a form of resistance, too.

But even from Zion, I’m watching.
And I’ll keep showing up.

Let’s get real.
See you next week — from the red rocks.
